Maths Tuition
I have always had a passion for Maths, which guides my approach to 1-1 tutoring. I want lessons to be enjoyable (for pupils and myself!) as that is more likely to give both short term improvement and longer term involvement and understanding.

Most of my experience is Year 5 to GCSE, but I am also able to teach younger years, and can also support A level students, having myself gained A grades at Pure and Applied Maths.
​
I tailor sessions to the pupil's personal and mathematical needs. If that involves talking about their other interests for 5 minutes, then so much the better as it helps them relax into the session.
​
Lessons are normally 1 hour, but I am happy to discuss whether shorter or longer might work.
I can deliver sessions by Zoom, but prefer them to be in person. I am based in Clapham, SW London, and can cover the surrounding area.
​
My focus is normally on consolidating troublesome topics - 1-1 sessions are perfect for giving pupils the confidence to tackle otherwise intimidating material. I do also explore new topics when appropriate, to give the pupil some familiarity before encountering them at school.
