Alphonso mangoes, Tina Turner and Dan Norcross

With apologies to Tina Turner, alphonso mangoes are simply the best (although if it is TT songs, it has to be Nutbush for me). So when I stopped on my way home from a gentle spin yesterday to get some samosas from the wonderful Pooja in Tooting, I had to grab a box of alphonsos at the same time. I thought we had missed the season, but there were alphonsos aplenty surrounded by (the nice but inferior) Kesars. I have only had one, but it was delicious.
Tangentially, I thought of Dan Norcross as he lives nearby, and must have bought alphonsos and samosas (if not, why not); which linked me back to Spencer Cricket Club (Dan's nearest club) and full circle to my bike. In case you didn't realise by now, I am cycling from London to Brighton on 18 June to raise funds to help develop Spencer's outreach and inclusion work further - to read more about that, and even donate, it is here.
